After its stunning re-launch last year, MADE Brighton returns to the Brighton Dome Corn Exchange 28 November to 1 December, to offer an unrivalled showcase of contemporary design and craft from across the country.  If you are looking for one-off handmade gifts this Christmas then this is your go-to makers’ fair.

On trend this year is sculptural art jewellery with new ‘Tree tales’ pieces by Imaginarium Atelier, retro bauhaus-style works by Marian Ripoll and imaginative collections by  Hopetown & Hunter and Alison Boyce.

There is a wide range of ceramics at MADE Brighton. Look out for the cool South London collective Dockyard Ceramics whose offer include decorated stoneware birds by Caroline Nuttall, flasks decorated with images from classical literature by Richard Dickson and colourful stoneware plates and candle holders by Mado that would be sure to brighten up any festive table. If it is beasts that you are fond of, then check out  Jack Durling’s ‘Blushing Hippo’ and ‘White Rhino’ sculptures. Sussex ceramicist, Becky May presents a new ‘lighten’ series of porcelain lamps.

The revival of woodcraft is reflected at MADE with new sculptural pieces artist Keith Pettit, paper-thin designs by South Wales designer Solace in Wood and ground-breaking designs by award-winning recent graduates from the prestigious Oxford furniture college, Rycotewood.

Highlights of the many textiles on show are home furnishings, gifts and wearables by Tabby Textiles, all handwoven by Becky Sunter, in her County Durham Studio, children’s jumpers by Lily Gray and printed silk and velvet scarves by Urban Chintz.
