In this four hour session I will lead you through the use of stone, antler and copper tools to make your own prehistoric arrowhead. Rather than flint (which would have been used in prehistoric times) we will be following historically recorded aboriginal methods and use glass, which is freely available here in Manchester and actually easier to work than stone. By the end of the session, you will have produced your own prehistoric ‘barb and tang’ arrowhead and also found out that ‘primitive technology’ is actually quite a skilled practice! All tools provided and I will guide you through the complete process.
Tickets are £20 and there are a maximum of twelve places. Please bring a clean, empty, flat bottomed bottle, which you will use to make your arrowhead.
