After many years supporting and promoting the arts in west Dorset, southSomerset and east Devon, the Marshwood Vale Magazine launched its firstArts Awards this year. Categories include: ceramics, painting and drawing, textiles, furniture, sculpture and photography.It is a testament to the quality of artists working in the area that these awards have attracted the support of an exciting line-up of judges that include: ceramic artist Kate Malone; painter John Hubbard; textile artist Caroline Broadhead; furniture designer and maker John Makepeace; sculptor Emily Young and photographer Roger Mayne. The exhibition will present the work of both prizewinners and judges.
