Artmusic presents Melanie Pappenheim and Rebecca Askew in the West Country Premiere of ‘FLAM’ Two women meet for coffee. They greet each other and sing together……… A unique piece of voice theatre, composed by Orlando Gough and directed by Emma Bernard, exploring the vocal, physical and comic skills of two extraordinary performers. Pappenheim (the ethereal voice on ‘Doctor Who’) and jazz singer Askew are “quite brilliant. They gossip, compete, sympathise and conduct a hilarious singing lesson in unison and counterpoint. Witty, touching, virtuosic, it’s a little gem.” (Sunday Telegraph). Tickets £6 / £5 (conc.) available from Artmusic. Phone 01373 467201 for information. Rook Lane Arts Cafe will be open between 2.00pm and 6.00pm with delicious teas served by Food Frome (not included in ticket price)
