Join us for Alison Lam’s (@alisonlam_art) Mind the Gap Private View, featuring a live performance by Bettina Fung | 馮允珊 (@bettinafws).  A zine by Wilson So (@morrowdragon) capturing the participants in the workshops will be sold at the exhibition. All proceeds will be donated to the neurodivergent organisations that contributed to this project.

Have you ever felt stuck, unsure how to move forward? Or the euphoria of a moment so big it feels like you might burst? These extremes and the spaces in between are the focus of Mind the Gap, Alison Lam’s first exhibition in Manchester.

Born from workshops with neurodivergent individuals across the UK, the exhibition reframes ‘overwhelm’ not just as something negative but as an experience with potential for growth. For Alison, a neurodivergent artist and mother, this became deeply personal as she reflects on her own burnout from masking her own overwhelm.

Featuring scrolls inspired by collaborative visual scores and lot, Mind the Gap takes visitors on a sensory journey from calm to chaos—and back again.
