What is Mindful Art?
It is the Art of Been Mindful in which we use our voice, paints, pencils and Art to represent our feelings.
The group will create visuals that are easy to remember and to use as a guide to help them be more positive in a negative or stressful environment. “A picture is worth a thousand words.”
It is learning about how to make choices for ourselves, to have a more conscious, positive and mindful life no matter what life throws your way
Everyone has a negative voice in their head. It’s called the script. The script tries to influence your decisions by putting doubt in your thoughts and making you second guess everything.
We will teach you how to ignore the script and teach you to find your identity the person you truly are without the script.
What does a typical session look like?
I normally tell my story and how Mindful Art has made a monumental difference in changing my life. I do some small exercise to help relax and cleanse the mind.
We will teach you how to identify when The Script is influencing you and how to deal with it in a positive manner.
You will learn all about choices and how to make them. Everyone has a choice. We have become so conditioned and institutionalised that we no longer use our choose button.
You will understand that everyone has the same feelings as you regardless of power, life circumstances, status, regardless of trauma, loss, pain, the feelings are still the same.
You will start to learn how to accept loss, deal with pain and trauma in a more positive way. When you start making choices, you’ll become more enlightened content, happier and everything looks so much brighter and manageable.
At the end of the day, we all want an easy life. We all want to be positive. We all want to “live the dream” whatever that is! It’s just that we need to learn to go back to basics and learn how to make that choice. You don’t wake up in the morning thinking I’m going to have a bad day. You wake up thinking I am alive, and it is going to be a good day today, and that is what Mindful Art is about.
It’s reprogramming the brain to be able to make the choices to be able to accept positive to be able to move forward with your life. leave the past behind live for the present. Don’t worry about the future. The future may never happen.
