Brogan Burke is a multidisciplinary artist based in North Wales, UK. She is known for sculptural memorials that transcend conventional boundaries. Through personal experiences with loss, Brogan creates a memorial archive as a grieving space and demonstrates how memories evolve differently through time.
Brogan investigates the progression of grief and the use of memories. The life processes are linked with architecture. They are created, built, destructed and reformed again, differently. Everyone has different perceptions of what memories visualise in our heads and how we experience grief. With a clear vision in mind, Brogan is striving to establish inclusive spaces to talk about death and grief. How do we use memories? And do our memories impact our grieving processes? Unite for shared moments of contemplation and collective remembrance, contributing to a sense of community and connection.
Medium – Sculpture, installation and Photography / film
