This exhibition launches new contemporary sculpture and video work by Dominique Rey, who uses selected writing by Sir Thomas Browne as a departure point. Dominique has created four fragile sandblasted glass constructions that have been etched with 17th to 19th century Persian textile designs. The structures are architectural, modernist shapes yet the floral etching makes them fragile in both pattern and form. The pieces are based on old four-quartered Persian gardens, which represent paradise on earth, but which no longer exist. Two video projections are a representation of the fatal love affair between moth and flame.
