mythical,wild and human is part of a four year programme of celebratory arts projects centred on 8 historic Cadw sites across Wales as part of the London 2012 Open Weekend in Wales. The workshop will draw inspiration from the unique set of 150 carved stone corbels, depicting mtyhical beasts, wild animals and human heads that adorn the Bishops Palace, making a set of masks as the starting point for a programme of celebrations in St David’s. Participants will learn mask making using a gum strip technique in a series of practical sessions including: making a face cast developing designs building up features painting and finishing Particpants will also have the opportunity to work on a mask to take home.
