Neuro/Queering Nature is an installation which draws together film, sound, drawing and found objects to share James’ experience of the New Forest’s wetlands, viewed through a queer, neurodivergent lens.
The exhibition brings together his direct, sensory experience of these wetlands with some of the trappings of collection and categorisation, to neuroqueer the subject of Natural History, and highlight the value of sensory/systemising differences in developing new ways of living with wetland communities.
Please see the Spud website for opening times and how to get there (the Spud gallery is a short walk from Sway railway station).
