Ten History of Art students from the University of Warwick who took part in the Young Curators Project curated this exhibition as part of their final year studies. Exploring the theme of optimism in post-war British art, the exhibition will display abstract painting and sculpture from around 1960 made by artists working in both London and St. Ives. Included in the show are works from the Arts Council Collection and University of Warwick Art Collection which represent this optimistic new age. Featured artists: David Annesley, Bernard Cohen, Robyn Denny, Barry Flanagan, Terry Frost, Barbara Hepworth, Patrick Heron, John Hoyland, Sarah Kent, Jeremy Moon, Eduardo Paolozzi, Bridget Riley, Peter Sedgley and Bryan Wynter.
