Two young, North East artists bring their work to the Sage Gateshead. A collection of new works by Helen Coburn and Lizzie Jacklin are on show for a 10 day exhibition at the Squires Lounge. Helen Coburn's rich oil and Acrylic paintings are a curiosity cabinet of contemporary visual culture. Lizzie Jacklin's evocative Ink drawings are a disordered record of journeys taken and people and places fleetingly observed. Helen Coburn and Lizzie Jacklin deal in collecting images and experiences which are both personal and universal. The exhibition reveals the continued diversity and relevance of drawing and painting.
