About the Artist and her Art
Canal – Tracks – Road.
Using local industrial history as a measurement of time, ‘Next Day Delivery’ Explores the themes of consumerism, logistics and memory; from generation to generation development leaves consumers expecting more and faster, considering, much like their predecessors, the efficiencies of the past to be a distant time of inconvenience.
Maryanne graduated in Intermedia at Edinburgh College of Art in 2016.
Maryanne’s work playfully explores the possible narratives or history of a space and by use of disposable materials, easily attained and quick to build with, explores themes of use and disuse.
Participatory play and rules encourage audience members to interact with her work; giving them the power to leave it changed.
