Five sculptors from Wiltshire have been shortlisted for the Althea Wynne bursary exhibition – they are Jeff Pigott, Olivia Clifton-Bligh, Davina Kemble, Celia Smith & Jo Taylor. Presenting a diverse range of styles, working in clay, wood bronze, paper and wire the artists are in competition for a bursary which will enable the winner to commission a professional photographer to create promotional images of their work. Althea Wynne was a noted sculptor from Wiltshire working in bronze and clay, who died in a car crash in 2012. The bursary in her memory is being awarded by the Friends of the Garden, who would like to acknowledge the support of Althea’s family, Wiltshire Council and Pound Arts in organising this project.
