This November, the Crypt Gallery in Euston opens its doors to the One That Holds Everything exhibition, a group show presenting new work by 28 emerging artists from the Masters in Fine Art (MFA) programme at Wimbledon College of Arts, part of the University of the Arts London (UAL).
Situated underneath St. Pancras’ Church in the heart of London, One That Holds Everything is named after St. Pancras himself, whose name stems from the Greek prefix ‘pan’ meaning ‘everything’. What unifies the exhibition is a common brief that asked the artists to create site-specific work tailored to the crypt. Having the unique opportunity to respond creatively to this historic site, the artists will be showing an array of works created with varied media, processes and concepts in mind.
The mixed body of art showcased in One That Holds Everything, comes from a diverse group of practitioners from different cultural backgrounds and life stages, who are united in their artistic endeavours. Expect to encounter multimedia spatial interventions, esoteric installations and interactive experiences, looming in the vaults and corridors of the Crypt.
The MFA Fine Art programme at Wimbledon College of Arts, aims to support emerging artists in situating their practice within the contemporary art world, through practical experimentation and contextual research. Twitter: @MFAWimbledon
