17 artists will open their studios to the public where visitors can see painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, video and installation work. French artist, Flore Gardner from Avignon will be showing 'Embroideries' – 100 sewn photographs in series: "Horizons", (Out)-Lines", "Ghosts" and "Doodles" in the HMS Exhibition Space. She will performing "Self-Embroidery" on the preview evening, when as a 'living sculpture' she will be embroidering the clothes she is wearing. Xymphora – 4 Leeds graduates will complete a 2-month residency in Standing Room with a screening of experimental pieces during the Open Studio Event.
