On Wednesday 17th June we’ll be back at Towner for our ever popular Out of Hours event when we’ll take a walk round the Towner exhibitions with a chance to talk about the work and issues arising from it, from an artist’s perspective.
In order to open up a range of possible themes for discussion, we’ve invited some of our artist-members to each select a piece from the exhibitions, for whatever reason – love it, hate it, or relate to it in a special way. Each artist will tell us about their selection and their reasons for choosing it, perhaps even bringing along a piece of their own work in response to it. Artists taking part so far include Mike Ring, Barbara Walters, Judy Martin, Steve Ring, Marie Ford and Felicity Truscott.
We hope that you can come along for what is always a lively and interesting evening, and if you’ve got a piece in either of the exhibitions that you’d like to talk about, please do come and join the conversation.
Artists – all welcome
