This month for our popular Out of Hours event, we’ve invited five of our members to each select and talk about a piece of work from Towards Night, an exhibition at Towner, curated by Tom Hammick.
In order to open up a range of possible themes for discussion, we’ve invited five of our artist-members to each choose a piece from the exhibitions, for whatever reason – love it, hate it, or relate to it in a special way. Each artist will tell us about their selection and their reasons for choosing it, perhaps even bringing along a piece of their own work in response to it. Selecting and responding to works from the exhibition are: artist and printmaker Pat Thornton, multi-disciplinary artist Cliff Crawford, painter Stephen Piggott, artist and photo-diarist Anthony Felton and artist and curator Christine Gist.
We hope that you can come along for this, our final event of 2016, which is sure to be a lively and interesting evening.
