The Royal British Society of Sculptors is delighted to host the first solo exhibition of Paolo Cavinato’s work in the UK. Regarded as one of Italy’s emerging talents, he recently exhibited alongside Anish Kapoor and Richard Long in an exhibition curated by Marco Pierini at the Galleria Civica di Modena in 2011. Paolo Cavinato creates multi-sensorial spaces to examine reality and our association with three-dimensional spaces. The constructed spaces question our understanding of what we actually see and what really exists and in doing so he creates a dialogue with the viewer on a metaphysical and emotional level. Cavinato’s work is concerned with human interaction with the environment and the relationship and transformation that is formed through this exchange. His work reflects the concept of change, mutation, and movement that occurs within family structures and within an inner self. Artist Talk: 1 June • 6.30 – 8.30pm (FREE)
