This exhibition is a continuation of Paul’s recent series of paintings which explore the space between land and sky. The subject matter allows him to develop his interest in landscape in a contemporary way by using colour and composition to underpin an environmental subtext.Inspiration comes from direct observation of the real world but the finished paintings are developed from a combination of memory, imagination and the painting process.
