People Like You is a purposefully participatory new touring show that tackles the subjectivity and perceptions of disability, and the place of Disability Arts in the wider art sector and beyond. Through performance, film, sculpture and audience interaction, it explores commonalities of human experience and conjures some very uncommon experiences of its own. Includes Gini’s grab rail text sculpture, text puzzles and human size Soft Sculptures; artist-activist Liz Crow’s installation and 48 hour performance Bedding Out; and Sue Austin’s breathtaking underwater film of her wheelchair performances Creating the Spectacle!, in the round. Special events and time limited works: Symposium: From the personal to the universal. Artists, researchers and producers discuss Disability Arts, diversity and activism. 10 April 11am – 4pm, £10, book online Liz Crow, ‘Bedding Out’, 48-hour performance 10 – 12 April.
