Creative campaign to combat climate change http://www.pg17.co.uk/ Knutsford art gallery, Firbob and Peacock, is to host the launch of a new initiative that aims to encourage people to take steps to address climate change. PG17 will start with an exhibition of art that wants to inspire and engage the public in environmental awareness. The exhibition takes place on Sat 22nd March, with an evening preview on friday 21 march 7pm – 9pm. The artworks in the exhibition are by local professional artists, some of whom are very established.Artworks will include recycled glass sculpture by Deborah Moses, ceramics that feature recycled elements by Avis tonge, paintings inspired by the environmental issues by Janette pearson and Dave Boardman, landscape paintings by Shelia Meeks and Ghislaine Howard and drawings by Julia Midgley will display the impact of development of the land. For every piece of artwork sold a tree will be planted, helping absorb the carbon emissions that our energy use generates.
