The East Sussex village of Nutley, tucked away in the Ashdown Forest, is the unlikely venue for a very special exhibition of work coming up in October by two talented artists Fiona Denning and Pierre Diamantopoulo. Denning and Diamantopoulo are no newcomers to their trade – both have paid their dues in terms of time, application and exposure to the rough and tumble of the business of art. Both have exhibited – and sold – in London and the provinces. Diamantopoulo exhibits internationally and has just completed a monumental 22 x 11 metre sculpture for the new Middlesbrough College,Teeside, adjacent to the famous Blue Transporter Bridge. Both artists produce work that is both striking and original: they demonstrate a maturity and craftsmanship that can only result from genuine and proven talent, and an application to their chosen field that demands respect. Here is a rare opportunity to experience and enjoy this unique juxtaposition of fine paintings and surprising sculptures in a delightful private setting, and perhaps acquire something special.
