Lives in Winchester, based in Chalkhill Studio Olivers Battery Winchester, originally trained as a nurse, I’ve always had a passion for art and decided to re-train culminating in 2005 with a First Class Honours Degree in Visual Art from Winchester School of Art and Design. I continued to develop my practice and gained a Masters in
Art by Project, in 2007.!
In addition to my multi-media work I’ve been painting a variety of subjects since first starting my studies in 2000; I love to paint, the process allows me to explore the landscapes and skies that surround me and are part of my personal journeys and history. My work embraces life experiences from the past and present, I explore memories and trajectories of the everyday life. Landscapes are often overlooked, they surround us and yet can be missed as we are caught up in our busy lives , I capture them on my phone and sketch on site, I like the idea they are part memory and part real. I have an intuitive approach to painting preferring to explore the colours of dreams rather than reality. They become part real and part of my dreamscape. recently I have developed new paintings in glass.
