I have known this area since I was a child. I remember the doc before it became fancy, I remember the old print works, which now lies derelict, next to Galeri. This got me thinking about this building that had once been the home of the Goleuad Press, with printed material being made on a daily basis, much of through the medium of Welsh. I came over to Caernarfon one day with my camera and started to take some photos of the outside of the building. Now it looks as though after 19 years the building will finally come back to life, this time as a home to new media and film and television.All this background informed my approach to the work on show here.
