You are warmly invited to the Private View of Rosie Emerson’s work in her studio as part of the Hackney WickED Art Festival. We very much hope you can join Rosie to enjoy some rum punch and peanuts! Back by popular demand Hackney WickED returns to Hackney Wick for its second year between July 31st and August 2nd. Last year NY Arts Magazine decalred this as the ‘most vital art event of the summer’ and this year is sure to exceed all expectations!Alongside Rosie’s exhibition, on the Friday night hundreds of other creative studios and the major art galleries in Hackney Wick will be throwing open their doors to the public. Following this there will be a weekened of fun; the streets coming alive on Saturday with parties, fetes, pottery workshops, film screenings, face painting, stalls, live music and much, much more. All this will be set off by a closing party on the Sunday which will include a procession, barbeque, boat races and the infamous burning of the wicker man.
