Earlier this year the people of Belfast were invited into the ominous building that sits behind large black gates on Queen Street . It had once been the infamous RUC Interrogation Station (1933-1997), and before that The Children’s Hospital for the Poor (late 1800s) but had been deserted for nearly fifteen years. The only information they were given was:“You are required to attend STATION for PROCEDURE on Saturday 19th February 2011. You will progress through the STATION undergoing psychological tests, completing challenges and facing temptation to determine your status. This will be FOR DATA USE ONLY”The PROCEDURE they encountered was a labyrinth full of mad doctors, sickening beverages, military dancers, deceased crows, murder simulation machines, rigged games, abandoned office parties, ending in the funeral procession of a tambourine coffin.PROCEDURE HQ will take place in Sloans in Glasgow on the 3rd October 2011. The PROCEDURE artists will use the first floor of this 18th century pub to collate their DATA, and invite a Glasgow audience to glimpse their findings, future plans and become embroiled in more experimentation.PROCEDURE was the experiment of Belfast and Glasgow based artists:Sighle Bhreathnach-Cashell, Richard Martin, Euan Ogilvie, Heather Purcell, George Thompson, James Stephen Wright, Sinéad Bhreathnach-Cashell, Claire Biddles, Jamie Clements, Giovanni Giacoia, and Helen Tubridy.3rd-5th October 2011, Sloans, Buchanan Street, GlasgowOpening ceremony Monday 3rd October at 7pm
