Bringing together the work of Magie Hollingworth, Steve Handley and Louise Presley, 3 artists resident at the Harley Foundation Studios at Welbeck. Their work shares the common practice of being constructed from discarded materials and objects. Magie Hollingworth, recycles paper waste, from shredded money to newsprint to produce a range of vessels and sculptural forms inspired by primitive artifacts, archeology and nature. Steve Handley constructs cupboards and furniture from reclaimed timber, which are decorated with old pastry boards and kitchen utensils. Louise Presley uses rescued vintage fabrics to make new textile objects from cushions to fashion. The cushions on display combine a variety of fabrics to create tactile and sensory pieces.
