The Red Hearth and weekly women’s group at Sladebank Woods have been weaving magic for many years. The yurt & roundhouse spaces and surrounding woods encourages a community within Stroud to connect and reflect upon experiences and emotional ebbs and flows and has provided the inspiration for this small project. The idea was to insulate and embellish the roundhouse space with woollen padding and red woollen thread – a spiritual warming as Joseph Beuys would name it. We created 3 fine wall hangings with the ‘voices’ of our participants.
