Jacek Wankowski's sculpture, ‘Reef’, is featured outside in the sculpture forecourt and represents the land at the edge of a stormy/angry sea, often placid and forgiving, sometimes constraining and confrontational, and increasingly violent and full of destructive tension. The sculpture is 2.5m (h) x 4m (w) and 1.8m (d) and is made from galvanized and corten steels. The natural patinas of the oxidized corten steel elements, weathered by the sun, wind and water, stand out in striking contrast against the surrounding architecture.
