Local artist Rosemary Taylor, unveils a stunning exhibition of paintings at ARI which emphasise the constant change in landscape and the connections and tensions between people and industry – past, present and future. This series of work comes from Rosemary's long held interest in industrial and architectural themes and time spent exploring the changing environment of man-made structures. Using newspaper and collage as a foundation the artist then adds objects found at the various sites – card, plastic or metal. Lettering, words and phrases are used as a support for the drawing which is the most important part of the work.
