A series of large scale paintings executed in transparent oil paint on unprimed linen. Together with,a number of small video pieces the whole, forms an installation engaged with the personal experience of running a marathon. The artist desires to share the experience with the audience, of the heightened sense of ones own being, felt by athletes when running long distances: – known as “Runner’s High” or “Flow”: This is a unique feeling revealed when totally focussed on their goal. This experience is also reflected in arts practice when the artist becomes completely absorbed by their work and very much unaware of anything else.
