Ten artists are exhibiting at Buckfast Abbey from 1st-10th May.We will have work in the recently refurbished beautiful Medieval Hall along. Some sculpture will also be sited around the Abbey grounds and will be in place for six months.. The sculpture will vary from semi- abstract figurative work to abstract and minimalist forms as well as contemporary assemblage pieces. Mediums used, include stone, wood, clay, and metals.The artists involved are James Bond, Bob Dawson, Philip Dixon, Melanie Guy, Angela Holmes, Harlan Mitchell, Rosie Musgrave, Rik Pitman, Suzanne Redstone, Dominic Welch and Community Carving CIC.The exhibition is being organised by Dartmouth Contemporary Arts.This proposes to be an exciting new location for contemporary art in the South West.
