Artist and poet Marion Fawlk lived in the medina of Fez for four years. The photographs were taken as muezzins sang and swallows flew. It is hoped the images evoke the timeless atmosphere of Fez and its traditions. Traditions unbroken by time in a changing world. Inshalla there will be a reading of Sufi poetry accompanied by a Moroccan oud player on Sunday 19th June at 7.30pm, The Gallery, Middle Street, Stroud. Please bring cushion on which to lounge.Marion has exhibited with the Moroccan Tourist Board and at the Orientalist Gallery, Fez. She was invited to read her Sufi poems at the International Festival of Sufi Culture at Musee Batha, Fez. 2009.
