We invite you to a subversion of the ubiquitous Fine Art Fair. Instead of selling artworks, we will be sharing ideas, processes and knowledge. This will clarify, support, raise awareness and validate our different ways of working in the largely rurally isolated West Dorset, East Devon and South Somerset. Connecting face-to-face will give us the opportunity to discuss what is needed.
Each person will have a ‘stall’ at which to present or provoke and the chance to tell it how it is. And there will be a provocation (Anna Best), a participatory performance (Sally Lemsford) and parleys (teasing out what, why and how).
By the end of the day we will have gathered your suggestions for the next steps – maybe a network, car sharing away days, monthly face-to-face encounters, co-produced zines, collaborations across sectors, experiments, mentoring, even moments to play. We want to hear lots of different voices.
FREE, £3 donation for lunch, given on the day
Bursaries: some available (to apply contact: [email protected] saying how much is required up to £50 per person + 100 words about why it would benefit you and how you would use it).
