Self Assembly is a two-part project exploring design and reinvention. An exhibition takes place at Ikea Coventry on 3-14 September with five artists repurposing Ikea products as sculptures, furniture and even costumes. Taking part in the show are Rachael Elwell, Jonny O’Hanlon, Janet Vaughan, and Vortex Creates. The exhibition then moves to the Self Assembly Project Space at 35 City Arcade, Coventry until 27 September. At the Self Assembly Project Space, you can also see further artists, Matt Boynton, Ryan Gibbins, Louise Taylor, Mark Hancock, Josh Hancock experimenting with materials and reinventing household products. The Self Assembly Project Space will be open to the public 25 August-27 September.
