MAKING ART WORK present SHIFT, their 3rd exhibition of members’ work at The Bowerhouse, 20 Warwick Place, Maidstone, ME16 8SE. The Opening Night with drinks will be held on Friday 18th October 6 – 9pm, including a short performance of new work by Ruth Payne and Adam Modley. The exhibition continues until Saturday 26th October and is open Thursday to Saturdays only 11am – 5pm. LateSHIFT on Thursday 24th October till 8pm. FREE entry to the exhibition. This new exhibition of 18 artists’ work ranges from live performance, video installations, photography, sculpture and collage. Encompassing ideas of transformation, relocation, flux and stasis, SHIFT will colonise the Bowerhouse performance space, creating interplay between the artworks and building, encouraging investigation, inquiry and play. An associated programme of evening events will be held including; Saturday 19th October, 6.30pm – 8.30pm, ASHA a live performance and video installation by Korinna McRobert about one of the first women to protest against apartheid and a poet; Friday 25th October, 7pm – 10pm, screening of The Company of Wolves (18).
