The South Street Gallery is launching a new spring exhibition. The focus of the show will be paintings by Kane Cunningham. The artist has recently received world wide attention for purchasing a condemned bungalow at Knipe point with his credit card for only £3,000. Cunningham has called his house a work of art and is using the cliff top property as both studio and art installation. Cunningham has said, ‘My work has always been about understanding the social and political context of landscape; the house is just a development of these ideas’. The House Project has been featured in the Times, BBC TV, BBC World Service, BBC Radio, CNN News, World News and the China Post. The exhibition will provide an excellent opportunity to view a series of east coast landscapes by the acclaimed artist. The exhibition also highlights new works by the gallery artists and includes painting, printmaking, ceramics and sculpture. All work will be for sale.
