Seth Beer, Nicky Chubb, Janet Crook, Elizabeth Ellison, Ulli Kaiser, Iona Mackensie Laycock, Vicky Oldfield, Louisa Sullivan, Ruth Taylor, Malcolm West and Barbara Westwell. The prize is in its fifth year and celebrates the partnership between the New Ashgate Gallery and the Surrey Artists Open Studios. Each year the exhibition showcases a variety of artwork created in the region. Votes were counted from the Surrey Artists Open Studios summer event and the artists with the most votes have been invited to showcase their work as a part of the exhibition. The public are asked to vote again during the show to choose their three favourite artists. The winning artist will be announced on 25 October and awarded a solo exhibition and a cash prize. The Surrey Artist of the Year is supported from the Patricia Baines Trust.
