New time-based abstract art. An exhibition by Richard Bolam, 20 February – 1 March 2025 at Gallery 24, Sheffield UK.
Presented for the first time, this is a new body of visual artworks by Richard Bolam, that change continuously over time.
Tabula Rasa (Latin for ‘blank slate’) is a work-in-progress exhibition of ideas that have been in development for many years: visual art that has the longevity of a painting but is constantly changing and never the same twice.
The visual language is that of non-representative, abstract art with an awareness of compositional rules and aesthetics, but with the added dimension of continuous, gradual change. The resulting effect is an ambient and contemplative experience.
This exhibition is an exploratory show, ahead of a final show later in the year.
Gallery 24 is at 24 Snig Hill, Sheffield S3 8NB, next to the Two & Six Micropub.
