Ever wanted to escape the bad news and the banal? Maybe Masham this June is as good a place as any to start. Flying for many of us is the ultimate escape, an unparalleled freedom. It is also the theme of The Gallery’s summer exhibition, Take to the Skies. Flight is a subject as expansive as the sky itself. For centuries we have searched the skies and wondered what is beyond them. Artists may have often had the reputation of having their heads in the clouds and for this show they look upwards for their inspiration. Featuring new work by Hester Cox, Josie Beszant, Elizabeth Price, Janis Goodman and Rosie Scott-Massie, Take to the Skies lands at The Gallery on June 20th 2009.
