The Arts Bar & Café hosts the first of Live Art Advisory Network’s new regular drop in advice sessions in September.Talking Shop will be a free drop-in advice, information and social opportunity for recent graduates and early career artists working in the areas of live art, experimental theatre and time-based media. One-to-one advice sessions will be offered on a first come first served basis to artists who want to discuss their practice with an advisor, as well as small group sessions and discussions on subjects such as promoting your work to programmers/curators, funding opportunities, maintaining your practice, developing support structures. There will be lots of material to take away and the event will end with an opportunity to network and socialise informally with peers. No need to book… just turn up, but come prepared with a sense of what you want to talk about.
