Testing Grounds is a live art event supportive of artistic risks where artists are commissioned to make and present new work rather than reproducing a set performance. Live art’s essential quality lays in its ability to inhabit new territories, and to cut across art forms, mediums and contexts that are not usually explored together. This may open up possibilities of previously unexplored approaches to experiencing and interpreting the world both to the artists and the audience. All performances respond to the idea of failure. The artists explore the ways which failure becomes a positive trait; allowing art to be scrutinized as a process: failure as a point at which artistic practice begins, rather than ends. ADMISSION IS FREE BUT BOOKING RECOMMENDED:Booking by email: [email protected] . The event is a co-production between Testing Grounds and South Hill Park curators Outi Remes (Head of Exhibitions) and William Trevelyan (Head of Music). Testing Grounds is supported by Arts Council England. www.testinggrounds.org.uk
