“Every passion borders on the chaotic, but the collector’s passion borders on the chaos of memories.”-Walter Benjamin. A group show by four painters: Christina Christova, Bruno Deroulede, Fiona Long and David Stockley, all graduates of Wimbledon College of Art. As collectors of images: real, imagined and combinations of the two, these artists explore ways to work with the interface or intersection where the immateriality of the memory of these images meets the inexorable materiality of their medium – oil paint.
