Ever wondered what Live Art is?? Would you like to meet artists, see and discuss Live Art? Could it be a useful strategy for your work? Come along to The Live Art Club starting on January 21st 2009. No booking required, just turn up on the night. Any artists and students interested and/or working in Live Art or new work (including contemporary performance and interdisciplinary practices) are encouraged to come along and meet others making and exploring Live Art. At the first meeting of The Live Art Club, three current practitioners, Jamie Moakes, Dot Howard and Alistair Gentry, will each do a short presentation about their work. There will also be an open space discussion session, where the topics raised are those that matter to you. Further information from: [email protected]. The Live Art Club is part of the New Work Network Activator project, supported by Colchester Arts Centre, The Lakeside Theatre and Essex University. The Activator project aims to build on artist networks across the East of England by creating networking and performance opportunities.
