Switch, in its third year of operation, has invited 8 international artists to exhibit 8 films/video artwork. Each evening from 5pm to 11pm, 8 different locations in the town centre in Nenagh will exhibit these films/video works, each interpreting this year’s theme of scale. This unique project creates an opportunity for people of the locality to see site-specific artworks in unique location.Participating artists for 2010 are: McLean Fahnestock, Long Beach, Ca/USA, Thomas Horak, Glasgow/Scotland, Martijn Kuitijn, Gemert/Netherlands, Jeff Languille, Vancouver/Canada, Robert Ladislas Derr, Columbus, Ohio/USA, Wolfgang Lehrner, Vienna/Austria, Brigid McLeer, London/UK, Holger Mohaupt, Glasgow/ScotlandOn Sunday October 31st the artists will host a ‘switching on’ tour of the works. The organised tour will commence with a small informal reception at the Ormond Hotel on Kenyon Street at 6pm. Two walking tour dates have been organised. The tours are free but spaces are limited.
