A collaborative project with poet and academic Lila Matsumoto, 2014
The piece began as an assemblage of objects and plaster, to which Matsumoto produced and performed a violin composition, at a studio leaving party entitled ‘Panic Buy’. Secondly, a series of films were made using objects from the original assemblage. These were screened at CAESURA #24 (Summerhall, Edinburgh) where Matsumoto re-performed her string piece. The piece culminates during a ‘gifting ceremony’ of a drawing, produced by Taylor and given to Matsumoto, at the closing party of the exhibition Draw In, curated by Artist Collective 2|1|4|1.
