Artist Bill Aitchison returns to the East End to give his off the wall guided tour of guided tours: a unique style of work that occupies a slippery space somewhere between tourism and contemporary art. Amusing and critical in equal measure it offers a new way to experience the city via Jack the Ripper, Occupy and Critical Mass.
Aitchison reforms the guided tour into an engaging and truly unique medium for art outside of the institution and in the public sphere. (Timeout Beijing)
This is a guided tour for people who never take tours but are curious to know what they are like. It is also a genuine, albeit novel, review service for tourists, and finally, it is an engaged show about a city eating itself alive in a property bubble. The Tour of All Tours is advanced tourism for those who want to do more than just relax and soak up dates on a guided tour.
