The VERB Projects are a series of site responsive art projects taking place in the North West of England. 6 visual artists will create work to be shown in 2022NQ- a creative arts space in the Northern Quarter, Manchester. This latest project will involve artists: Debbie Sharp, Kathryn Miller, Kate Freeborough, Rebecca Rogers, Spencer Harrison & Tom Evans. The artists were initially brought together after participating in a one day site responsive event, now called 12HRS, at Blank Space in January this year. All of the artists are unified by their interests in developing work which: reacts to and interacts with the site, archives human experience in it, or builds an understanding through their chosen medium which reveals aspects outside of everyday perception. Together the work will offer an informed interpretation of the site and will demonstrate traces of the creative engagement within it. These artists will create work specifically for this space using a range of approaches including; time based medium, installation and sculpture.
