Based on the saying "a penny for your thoughts", this interactive project takes the everyday saying and puts it into practice, presenting a moment to reconsider what the saying means and what its potential is. Following a series of Thought Collecting events in Whitstable, the project culminates in Thought Exchange, a mechanical vending machine being sited in the foyer of the Horsebridge Centre. Visitors can purchase one of the collected thoughts by placing one penny into the machine and in exchange it will dispense a postcard containing one of the collected thoughts.
